We are delighted to feature the class talent of Yvette Johansson with Anton Delecca, just back from NYC on saxophone.

Yvette needs no introduction to the Melbourne scene, as a versatile and stylish jazz artist with an enviable and well-deserved reputation as one of the finest Jazz artists in town. Her influences range from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Blossom Dearie, to Astrid Gilberto, Anita Baker, Doris Day and many others.

Anton Delecca is an award winning tenor saxophonist, composer and educator from Melbourne, who has recently been living in New York. In May 2019 he completed a Masters in Music in Jazz Studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, New York. He played for many years with internationally renowned band The Bamboos and has performed and/or recorded with artists such as American jazz legends Arthur Blythe, Odean Pope, Wycliffe Gordon and recently funk legend Maceo Parker. His group the Anton Delecca Quartet has three albums out on Australia’s leading jazz label, Jazzhead and he is featured on many other Australian jazz recordings. Anton is bac in town and we are thrilled to present him at the Rat!

They join the stellar JMQ Jazz Ensemble for a wonderful evening, with Michael Harding, Tom Lee, Niko Schauble and John Montesante. Delicious meals and drinks served during the evening and all are welcome!

Reserve your table early to avoid disappointment on 9686 1980.
