Amrita Hepi: Dancer In Residence

Award-winning First Nations choreographer and dancer from Bundjulung (Australia) and Ngāpuhi (New Zealand) territories, Amrita Hepi takes the floor with the creation of a new collaborative dance work.
Taking the ground beneath our feet as her starting point, Amrita will engage with many dance communities to consider experiences, traditions, country and conditions underfoot—and to ultimately map and construct a new dance floor and place of belonging for all. The floor will act as a choreographic score and springboard for a salon of performances from Amrita, collaborators and key members of Melbourne’s community of dance makers.
