Many of you have been asking us to showcase the glorious pipe organ in the QPAC Concert Hall and we’ve heard you! Organist Joseph Nolan, described by Limelight magazine as a ‘Colossus’, will rouse audiences with his rendition of Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in the Friday morning concert, and on Saturday night, a rare outing of Poulenc’s highly enjoyable Organ Concerto. As if that wasn’t enough, we’re out to fire everyone’s blood with Richard Strauss’ action-packed tone poem, Don Juan, topped off with the fiery brilliance of Beethoven’s one and only Fifth Symphony.
