Cinema At the G

Cinema at the ‘G, presented by Bank of Melbourne will once again transform the iconic MCG into Melbourne’s most spectacular open air cinema in 2020.

For just two nights only, Friday 14 and Saturday 15 February, attendees will be able to sit back and relax on the hallowed MCG turf as a movie lights up the giant scoreboard screen.

Now in its fifth year, opening night will feature the box-office smash Rocketman—perfect for a Valentine’s Day date—while the Australian biopic Ride like a Girl will screen on Saturday night.

Attendees can bring blankets, pillows and snacks to create a picnic on the famous patch of grass, or enjoy options from the onsite MCG caterers—including a range of classic cinema fare.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Bank of Melbourne Foundation, which supports local charities and programs that deliver sustainable benefits to Victorian communities.

Each session is capped at 2000 attendees, with a limited number of VIP and Best on Ground tickets available for each night.
