JMQ Jazz Ensemble features fine jazz singer, Fem Belling with international tenor saxophonist, Mirko Guerrini.

ARIA nominated jazz vocalist and violinist, Fem Belling burst onto the Melbourne Jazz Scene, after a sojourn in London, with her exquisite, versatile voice and powerful stage presence, lending authenticity, creativity and something extra special to jazz. A born performer and daughter of a jazz pianist, Fem throws her own spin on jazz standards and paying homage to the Jazz Greats. She showcases her passion for scatting and her sheer joy of making music, with class, sophistication and diversity.

Mirko Guerrini studied piano, saxophone, classical composition and jazz music at the Conservatorio “Cherubini” in Florence. Eclectic and multi-instrumentalist, composer and orchestra conductor, he has 6 CDs to his credit as a solo sax player and leader of jazz ensembles, more than 40 CDs as a sideman and featured guest artist in many settings. He was invited to Australia from Italy, as a visiting professor for various Universities several times from 2005, eventually settling in Melbourne in 2013. It is always an honour to have him as a guest with the John Montesante Quintet.
