Jamie Mykaela doesn’t want you to be her Daddy. Sorry.
She’s not your groupie, baby girl, or sweet 16.
This is a show about how your Dad’s record collection sees women. From The Rolling Stones through The Beatles to old favourites from Coundown, Perth’s premier ukulele cabaret queen has taken all their pervy, trash-talking lyrics personally.
So, she’s gonna sing about it, cancelling them all live on stage on her powder-pink ukulele with her razor-sharp wit.
Part of the Normal Place Perthonalities online season at Melbourne Fringe. Normal Place is supported by their lovely crowdfunders and Creative Partnerships Australia as part of their Match program.
“You may come out of this show questioning your appreciation of some of your old favourites, but unquestionable is Mykaela’s amazing performance.”- Gutter Culture
“A necessary rollercoaster ride of cringes, anger, and sadness... and one with the guts and finesse to say exactly what needs to be said.” - Pelican
“A femme queen in the making” - Weekend Notes
