McKenzies May auction will take place on Tuesday 26 May at 6pm and brings together a diverse selection of furniture, art, collectibles, jewellery and much more ensuring something for everybody.

This auction will feature well-known artists such as Robert Juniper, Leon Pericles, Guy Grey-Smith, George Haynes, Howard Taylor, Elizabeth Durack and William Boissevain.

Art highlights also include a leather-bound limited edition by Norman Lindsay and a first edition Dickens.

There will be over 75 modern, vintage and antique pieces of jewelry on offer. A showstopper is a fabulous diamond bracelet consisting of 19 mixed cut diamonds totalling almost 12ct. Mounted in 18ct white gold with an insurance valuation, which reflects a full possible retail replacement price of $150,000. It is estimated within the auction at $38,000-44,000.

Furniture for this sale is genuinely diverse, great quality and extremely reasonable in price. The oriental section is worth viewing, both very good Chinese and Japanese items are represented. There are excellent Japanese bronzes and a rare suite of Japanese armour. The sale concludes with a fine range of silver.

There’s even rare and collectable wine on offer including Grange, Henschke, Hill of Grace and a 1997 Cabernet Merlot from Cullens.

Please note, viewing is extended (to fit the COVID-19 guidelines) and we expect the bidding to be largely absentee. Either via telephone, left bids or online, which also allows the sale to be viewed on screen.

Pre-auction viewings will take place from 10am–5pm from Wednesday 20th May to Monday 25th May, including Saturday and Sunday.

The Auction will take place on site at 8 Stirling Road Claremont on Tuesday, 26th May from 6pm.

Telephone or absentee bids can be arranged by contacting McKenzie’s Auctioneers on (08) 9385 4180 or emailing on mgallery@iinet.net.au
