My Walk showcases photography, sculpture and drawings by Diedre Gillespie. An exhibition of beautiful nature and proud birds, referencing a long loving history experiencing the outdoors. This is Diedre's first solo art exhibition. The show features her photography of the natural world, including some beautiful close-ups of leaves and flowers.
As for her original drawings, they all feature birds, drawn in her signature style. Diedre moves across creative fields with her sculptural pieces. They are a combination of fabric, paper, wire, beads and paint. She uses many techniques the most evident is the weaving employed in the wings of her birds. All of her sculptural birds are named after her favourite musicians also adding to her fun and whimsical nature.
