The painters from Ampilatwatja have a special and privileged view of Country and the importance of the resources freely found there. These paintings reflect on role of collecting bush medicine and other sustaining plants from the natural environment. They are part of the traditional culture and the practice of people to work closely with the land to harvest beneficial plants.

The style of these artists shows the special attention to detail and the deep interest in the nature of all plants growing in the environment. Their artwork is rich with colour and observation of the natural world. Contributing artists include Lilly Kemarre Morton, Ada Pula Beasley, Julieanne Ngwarraye Morton, Jessie Ngwarraye Ross and Kathlene Nanima Rambler.

Enjoy the shared experience of travelling these lands with the closely observant skills of the artists.

Our Gallery is currently fully operational for online orders, and open for limited hours each day with social and health protocols in place.
