Xpose

The aim of this exhibition put together by the Collage Group is to ‘Xpose’—to reveal the true objectionable nature of each artist and their work. Each artist works in a unique way using a wide range of art materials. A burst of amber in the artist’s palette has been intentionally placed in each work creating a common link.

Collage Group members maintain a sense of mateship from the early days of working and studying together. They have a strong sense of belonging in the art scene in and around Perth, W.A. In the history of art, many artists over time have formed groups to share and discuss matters that influence and inform their work. While most are content to work alone in their studio space, a chance to exhibit brings an opportunity to create a dialogue between the artist and the viewer. This exposure often reveals the intent of the artist.
