Early Days by DL Turnbull is a one act play depicting the blossoming intimacy between Tam, a young trans masculine podcaster and Marcus, a slightly older cisgender art teacher.

Following a year in their lives they navigate power, privilege, grief and trauma as they try to understand how much of themselves they owe to each other and the relationship they’re building.

Funny, poignant and relatable this play seeks to explore the mundanity and romance of everyday lives.

Directed with insight and verve by Brooke Murray and featuring magnetic, nuanced performances by Lore Burns and Bradley Storer; Early Days is a testament to the power, loves and passion of trans and queer creatives.

Content Warning: the text explores and discusses abortion, mental illness, suicide, sexuality, gender identity and relationship violence. They are not directly or graphically depicted but rather as things the characters have experienced. The emphasis is on recovery and working through the experiences.
