Motivated by acute infiltration techniques, Gateway takes on methods of deception and detection using the postal economy as a starting point under the premise that people are more connected to these smaller encounters and thus are more likely to retell and pass on elements of the work as stories within their own lives.
Influenced by the vast increase in postal activity over the past 8 months Gateway has been generated through field research conducted with the Melbourne Border Force postal Gateway. Engaging directly with this influx of altered objects once d to house and distribution to disguise hopeful contraband.
