Local ex Walt Disney artist brings together the warmth of Disney and a unique style full of movement and emotion to champion the animals of our world:

The ideocracy of a small child in the proximity of a large animal? Children have no fear, and no prejudices do things instinctively. By no means am I recommending that children endanger their lives to hug a wild beast. The hug is representational of our care for all animals, the wonder of being able to love, whomever, no matter the differences or perceptions? And then, of course…we are all hungry for the innocence of a good hug

The boxlike wooden form of the large artwork's structure with all its imperfections symbolizes animal transportation and confinement crates. The harshness of reality contrasting with the softness of a warm hug. Most of these are RDS firsts, Large scale artworks using brush on wood rather than the RDS pen on paper. However, there will also be a good collection of smaller Australian wildlife and farm animal Artworks.

Thanks to The Regional Arts Development Fund a partnership between the Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
