The Generates Self Assured Single Launch Tour

The Generates (aka Plastik Reality) announce name change & new single ‘Self Assured’ out June 18.

Brisbane garage rockers The Generates have announced their new single ‘Self Assured’ is set for release on June 18. This is the band’s first recording under the new moniker and is accompanied by a high energy video shot around some recognisable late night Brisbane locations, directed by Clancy Sinnamon. Queensland tour dates have been announced including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba & Bundaberg.

Formerly known as Plastik Reality, The Generates (pronounced similar to ‘degenerate’) have been cutting their teeth on the South East Queensland scene since 2018 as teenagers and have countless gigs and several releases under their belts, crafting an original rock sound which nods to The Strokes, The Growlers & The Rolling Stones.

Recorded at Lush Studios in Redcliffe, ‘Self Assured’ is the first taste from their forthcoming debut album, which has shown a progression and maturity to their sound which left them thinking it was time for a name change.
