Magnet is collaborating with a group of Myanmar young people to support them in their work of resistance against the shocking events happening in their country. We are holding a photographic exhibition and associated events throughout April to raise money and increase understanding of the situation in Myanmar now.

Yangon Echoes, beautifully photographed by Tim Webster, records the now-crumbling colonial buildings of the city and the lives of the people who have lived in them – sometimes for all their lives.
As the buildings are now being demolished for redevelopment this collection of photographs reminds us both of Burma's British colonial past and the fact that so many people are losing their life-long homes.

The book “Yangon Echoes” will be for sale ( all proceeds to the Myanmar cause). , written by Tim Webster and Virginia Henderson, including Tim's gorgeous images and the life-stories of the people portrayed in the photographs. These books are available thanks to a generous donation by Tim Webster who lived in Yangon.
