Blooming West

Bringing joy and colour again to the Aintree community and surrounding Rockbank area, the West's biggest sunflower activation is back for another year.

Known as Blooming West, over 120,000 sunflowers have bloomed at Woodlea, following the planting of 12kgs of sunflower seeds last year.

Set within a grand 2800 square metre site, the sunflower installation is a destination for Woodlea residents and the broader community to connect with each other, create a photo moment and interact with the mass of blooming sunflowers. The sunflowers are free to visit, making them an accessible family-friendly initiative.
