Andrea Moser is a mixed media artist based in Brisbane. Her ‘Colourful Wanderings’ show comprises 25 of her latest acrylic artworks of colourful landscapes, flowers and abstracts.
Andrea has a passion for bright colours, patterns and hatches and paints landscapes, still-life, flora and fauna. Her background in landscape architecture is evident in her subject selection and carefully constructed patterns and hatches. Her artworks are influenced by her beautiful rural surroundings, connection to the land and positive energy. Her paintings are vibrant and energetic and are designed to add a little bit of wow to a room. The modern and colourful landscape artworks are inspired by long drives along winding roads through the countryside of the Hinterland. Her floral paintings are quirky, reimagined interpretations of Australian flora to fill a room with dynamic and joy. Andrea uses her passion for bright colour schemes to express vigour and positive energy. She also creates paintings that use soft colours to convey delight and bliss. The pieces are reflecting Andrea’s emotional and positive energy. This is uplifting and happy art full of vitality to lift the spirit and make everyone feel comfortable.
The artworks will be complemented by flower art from Sogetsu Ikebana Queensland, created especially for the exhibition.
The exhibition will be opened by Andrea with a floor talk about her art and exhibition at 10:00 am on Saturday 3rd of September.
There will be art demonstrations by Andrea at 11:00 am on Sunday the 4th and Saturday the 10th of September.
The 'Colourful Wandering' exhibition is in the Inspired Art Gallery in the historic Pioneer Church behind the main church building.
