Dance was incredibly important in Shakespeare’s world: It was an everyday recreation enjoyed in all places, from the royal court to the lowliest tavern. Many of his plays included dances, especially in the final act where they portrayed a harmonious conclusion.
Join dance historian Dr Heather Clarke with live music by Phillip’s Dog for an introduction to these lively dances.
