Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Summer Gala

Experience a stunning afternoon of musical delights, featuring MetSO Young Artists Nicole Li (Piano), Charis Postmus (Soprano) and Lachlan Higgins (Baritone).

Two of Beethoven’s 5ths - the 1st movements of his towering 5th Symphony, and his heroic 5th Piano Concerto - Emperor!

The Emperor will be performed by rising Perth piano star Nicole Li.

Young WAAPA-grad superstars - Charis Postmus and Lachlan Higgins, will bring you a virtuosic second half - with glorious arias from Australian Composer Elena Kats-Chernin’s ethereally beautiful Wild Swans Suite, Mozart’s Pa-Pa-Pa-Papageno/Papagena duet, and much more.

For this concert, MetSO will be joined on stage by players from our wonderful MetSO Intermediate String Orchestra (MISO) for the inaugural pairing of the two ensembles.
