Music, She Wrote

Following two highly acclaimed festivals in 2021 and 2022, 3MBS Melbourne 103.5FM and On The Road Again proudly present Music, She Wrote at the Malvern Banquet Hall and online this September.

Curated by recent 2022 Freedman Classical Fellowship winner, Katie Yap the festival features a line-up of Melbourne’s most imaginative and engaging classical, baroque and folk musicians and celebrates women composers past and present across three exceptional concerts.

Returning from the April 2022 season is firecracker flautist, Eliza Shephard; the sublime Consort of Melbourne; toe-tapping folk duo, Big Fiddle Little Fiddle and the remarkable Music, She Wrote Quartet. Joining them for the Malvern festival is the virtuosic Evergreen Ensemble. Featuring period instruments, Celtic harp and voice, the ensemble will present world premieres by sought-after young Australian composer, Alice Chance in a set of newly composed sonatas for baroque instruments.
