In 1963 Oregon, Randle Patrick McMurphy, a criminal who has been sentenced to a short prison term, decides to have himself declared insane so he will be transferred to a mental institution, where he expects to serve the rest of his term free of prison labour and in (comparative) comfort and luxury.

You may recall the movie which starred Jack Nicholson (he won an Oscar for this as did Louise Fletcher).

We have allocated three seats per show for any audience members who would like to be on stage with actors. Audience members who purchase one of these tickets can choose to wear a hospital gown and move amongst the cast.

This production was supposed to be staged before the first Covid hit. It’s been quite challenging holding this stage show up, but we are very happy with how it’s looking and it’s ready for an audience. We ended up having to find new cast members after the first covid hit, and then again after the second covid hit. Covid has impacted us all in many ways, particularly mental health which we are all feeling today from the covid experience. We have outstanding actors portraying these characters. Not to be missed!
