BREAKING THE RULES OF TRADITIONAL THEATRE May 31st - June 12th
Gone are the plush seats, spotlights and stage. Here is Immersive Theatre, where the audience is transported to the time and place of the play, 1980's The Bronx, New York. ‘Savage in Limbo’ is the latest work by All Sorts Productions' artistic director, Maurice Mammoliti. His vision is to immerse audiences into a complete sensory experience, giving each of them a "fly-on-the-wall" perspective of the play.
Audience members will be seated in the surrounds of the iconic Local Taphouse, St Kilda - an ultra-realistic setting, minimally adjusted, to create a theatrical experience of a different kind.
John Patrick Shanley’s ‘Savage in Limbo’ is a story about five lonely misfits who serendipitously meet, whilst trying to find themselves they find each other. To make a change in their mundane lives and escape Limbo, they must hash out their past, present and future.
Witness this emotionally charged and fast-paced production in its raw state at The Local Taphouse, commencing May 31st till June 12th.
Doors open 1 hour before the performance, so come in and enjoy the ambience with a drink and a bite to eat.
