"Join us for a special, one night performance of Stop that Nonsense!, written by Nicholas ‘Prince’ Milverton in response to Jenn Nkiru’s exhibition REBIRTH IS NECESSARY.

Stop that Nonsense! is a short play that explores black excellence and the pressure that manifests in family dynamics. Stop that Nonsense! features the local talent of Daniel Udo Jnr, Samuel Silver and Fikrte Bushell. This performance will be followed by a Q&A with Prince, hosted by podcaster and radio presenter Gugu Bhebhe.

Doors at 6.30pm to view Jenn Nkiru’s installation, the responsive performance will begin at 7pm.

Jenn Nkiru is an award-winning visionary artist and director. Nkiru’s first solo exhibition in Australia REBIRTH IS NECESSARY is currently on show at the IMA. REBIRTH IS NECESSARY explores the magic and dynamism of Blackness in a realm where time and space are altered. The now, the past, and the future are rethought and reordered to create something soulful and mind-bendingly visceral.
