The Last Lighthouse Keeper tells a story of joy, sadness, resilience, and friendship – using puppets, music, and interactions with the young audience. It takes place on a faraway coast, and centres around a Lighthouse Keeper, his wife the Fisherwoman, and their Lighthouse.

This production is unique because it integrates the children themselves as storytellers. Before the play begins, the performers and the young audience build parts of the set and props for the story. The children sit within the set and engage with the puppets as the story unfolds. They confront challenges, help drive the action, and bring the story to a joyful conclusion. At the end, they are invited to handle the puppets, investigate the set, and discuss the show with the performers.
