Who will be crowned Continental Champion(s) in 2022?

The VICTOR Oceania Championships 2022 (Open Individuals) are delighted to return to Melbourne Sports and Aquatics Centre from 28 April - 1 May 2022.

This will be the first time the Continental Championships has taken place since the pandemic began to disrupt the international badminton calendar.

This will also be the first time that the VICTOR Oceania Championships will be rewarding prize money to the winners and runners-up across the five disciplines: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Rounds of 64, 32 and 16 will take place on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 April, before the quarterfinals and semifinals get underway on 30 April, meaning the finals will take place on Sunday 1 May from 10am.

Could this be the first year that a player outside of New Zealand or Australia wins a gold medal at the Continental Championships? Could Olympian, Hsuan-Yu Wendy Chen (Australia) extend her historic run and make it seventh consecutive women's singles titles? Will Tokyo 2020 Olympian and Melbourne-based Instagram guru, Gronya Somerville, be able to defend her doubles titles with brand new partners?
