Learn the basics of ethical wildlife photography and how to get the most out of your digital camera in this workshop for beginners.
Be awed by the 2022 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition, then take that inspiration to the AM photography studio in this half-day beginner’s workshop led by award-winning nature photographer Angela Robertson-Buchanan.
Unlock your DSLR’s potential and learn simple but creative shooting techniques. Guided by Angela, experiment with your equipment’s modes, aperture, ISO and shutter speed, before putting your new skills to work by photographing objects from the Australian Museum’s taxidermy collection as well as a selection of live native animals including possums, reptiles and a delightful tawny frogmouth called Trevor.
Angela will discuss the considerations of ethical wildlife photography and how to get that perfect shot without disturbing your subject or their habitat
