Cyber Palace proudly presents Lia Mice(uk) and Gorgina
Meanjin’s own Lia Mice is returning home for a show this December.
Dubbed a "pioneer of experimental pop" by Berlin's KALTBLUT Magazine, Lia Mice expands the boundaries of electronic music production and live AV performance with her unique self-designed instruments. Her music bounds thru genre, convention and taste, concocting a collision of robotic electro, demonic hyperpop, tweaky IDM and slushy radiophonic weirdness to create neon-hued, jagged art-pop sounds.
Lia Mice is a multidisciplinary artist and inventor whose works include experimental electronic music production, large-scale digital musical instrument design, interactive sculpture, live A/V performance, composition for film, and academic writing. In her practice, Mice uses new technologies to explore relationships between the musical instrument and embodied performance.
Her latest album Sweat Like Caramel is out through Objects Ltd.
If you know local punk from the 00’s, Lia played and sang in local legends Gazoonga Attack! Come along and see what she’s up to these days!
Support from Gorgina - Gorgina are two gals making obscene noise using a mix of live coding and electronics.
