Fever Dream

FEVER DREAM is set to mesmerize Perth in a captivating free outdoor spectacle featuring giant illuminated puppets at Langley Park on June 24 and 25. This enchanting, interactive, and immersive experience for all ages offers the chance for community members to enter a world of wonder and participate in the show.

The production follows a Fever of Stingrays exploring the ocean, showcasing a magnificent 10-meter-long Stingray, soaring aerial creations, a majestic 5-meter-tall river spirit, and local community-made illuminated Stingray puppets. This visual extravaganza sweeps the audience into a spellbinding journey of sound, imagination, and light, presented in Perth by renowned puppetry company Curious Legends.

Each performance is preceded by a two-hour workshop from 4:00 pm, led by talented artists. Community members can make their own handheld stingrays to take home, with the option to have their creation illuminated and be part of the show. As darkness falls, eight workshop participants are invited to join the main visual performance alongside Curious Legends' illuminated giants.

Langley Park will be transformed into a festive atmosphere from 4:00 pm, featuring engaging workshops, food trucks, lively performances, and a sense of community celebration that will beckon families into the heart of the city.

Both the workshops and the spectacle of FEVER DREAM are complimentary, allowing everyone to share in the magic. Tickets are free, but registrations are essential through the Curious Legends website. The event will proceed rain or shine, and attendees are advised to bring a seat, cushion, or rug to sit on.

The event schedule for both days includes Stingray making workshops from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, food trucks starting at 4:00 pm, a Welcome to Country at 6:00 pm, an introduction at 6:10 pm, a community performance workshop for participants in Fever Dream at 6:15 pm, the main performance at 6:30 pm, and a conclusion at 7:00 pm.
