Wit Incorporated proudly presents the Australian premiere season of

I ME SHE HIM | 你和我和她和他
By Stan Lai 賴聲川
Translated by Stan Lai
Directed by Ren Ruidi
Translation Editor and Dramaturgy by Lissa Tyler Renaud

“You talked to the stars in the sky, you went skinny-dipping at night…
The only thing you didn’t do was go to Tiananmen Square and join the protest.”

Hong Kong, 1999. Jing, a slick Taiwanese executive, is traveling from Taiwan to meet with CEO More and discuss a merger between their two companies. However, just as negotiations are about to begin two strangers unexpectedly arrive… forcing the high rollers to confront a passionate and painful past. Threads of a forgotten history are unraveled by truths that cannot be undone, and a future that is yet to be remembered.

Written by “the best Chinese language playwright and director in the world" (BBC), Wit Incorporated now proudly brings Australian audiences this powerful premiere season. I ME SHE HIM | 你和我和她和他 by renowned Taiwanese playwright and director Stan Lai 賴聲川 is a complex and beautiful story, playing across two separate venues this November and December in Melbourne.

Running for seven shows only from the 22nd of November to the 2nd of December (with a Relaxed and Auslan Interpreted show on Saturday the 25th at 3pm) this compelling Australian first promises to be a highlight on the end-of-year Arts calendar! Tickets now selling.

A vibrant and inclusive professional theatre community, Wit Incorporated champions diverse and engaging work that inspires artists and audiences alike. Operating out of Melbourne’s West, the company launched in 2014 and since then have produced over 20 seasons, run holiday and children’s programs and Sunday Creative Workshops for adults, and are continually working towards greater accessibility with their shows and events. Since 2020 the company has also been the City of Maribyrnong Triennial Arts Partner.
