JMQ Jazz Ensemble features Fem Belling & Tim Stocker

On Thursday, JULY 13, JMQ Jazz Ensemble is delighted to feature vibrant jazz singer-violinist, FEM BELLING with outstanding baritone saxophonist, TIM STOCKER at the welcoming Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne at 7pm.

FEM burst onto the Melbourne Jazz Scene, after a sojourn in London, with her exquisite, versatile voice and powerful stage presence, lending authenticity, creativity and something extra special to jazz. A born performer and daughter of a jazz pianist, Fem throws her own spin on jazz standards and pays homage to the Jazz Greats. She showcases her passion for scatting and her sheer joy of making music, with class, sophistication and diversity.

TIM spent many years as an international baritone saxophonist, living and playing for lengthy periods in the UK, New York and Singapore, before returning to settle in Australia. Tim's baritone saxophone playing is top-notch - including some extended techniques, and more adventurous sounds unique to the saxophone. He is a joy to listen to as he plays and improvises.

The All-Star band lineup shall include Michael Harding, Ben Robertson, Aaron McCullough and John Montesante.

Doors and dinner from 6.30pm. Live Jazz 7pm. Meals and drinks are available all evening and there is free on-street parking from 6pm.
