Monash University Performing Arts Centres (MPAC) is proud to present the Victorian premiere of Lé Nør [the rain] by Western Australian theatre company, The Last Great Hunt.
In a similar vein to The Picture of Dorian Gray, Lé Nør [the rain] combines cinematic mastery and theatrical magic to create a multimedia extravaganza performed live on stage. The large-scale theatre show invites
audiences to see the onscreen story and the behind-the-scenes action in a celebration of 80s nostalgia set in the small island nation of Sólset - a once thriving metropolis in the northern seas, but now a decade-long
drought-stricken community. With only a few hopeful residents remaining, audiences will experience a heartfelt but hilarious climate change story about the endurance of the human spirit, romance, lust, love and heartbreak in a world that’s falling apart.
After sell out seasons at Perth Festival and Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, Lé Nør [the rain] has received nothing short of rave reviews. This Victorian premiere at the stunning Alexander Theatre is a must-see for all theatre lovers. Lé Nør [the rain] is the ‘80s arthouse cinema classic you’ve never seen – because it doesn’t really exist – performed live on stage.
