Port of Melbourne - Boat Tours

Bask in the warmer weather an see Australia’s busiest port up close this Spring!

Explore the Port of Melbourne on a fun, family-friendly boat tour - featuring guided commentary from port staff and children's activities including face painting and boat-themed activity packs, you’ll get to experience and learn about the port from a whole new angle.

Port of Melbourne is Australia’s largest container and general cargo port and a vital trade gateway, which impacts thousands of businesses and the lives of Aussies every day – from sending Australian-grown grain to Guangzhou to bringing our much-loved coffee in from Columbia.

Tours will run for approximately 90 minutes from 10:00am, 12.30pm and 3:00pm across four dates: 15 October, 4 November, 5 November and 12 November - bookings are required.

All proceeds are donated to Mission to Seafarers Victoria and Stella Maris Seafarer Centre - who support the thousands of seafarers who spend months at sea bringing goods to us every day of the year.

Depart from Magic Charters, Shop 1, 800 Bourke Street Waterside of, NAB, Docklands VIC 3008 (Near Harbour Kitchen, Corner of Harbour Esplanade & Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands)

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tour time, allow up to 30 minutes for boarding and disembarking, and bring an electronic or paper copy of your ticket.

This is an all-weather event but it can get cold and windy on the water. Comfortable shoes and a warm jacket are recommended.

Duration is also subject to weather conditions and making way for commercial vessels if required.

No food or drink is allowed on the boat (water and drink bottles are permitted).
