Three talks between Italian scientists and writers will be offered in Melbourne at CO.AS.IT. The talks, in English, are part of the 23rd Edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (SLIM) and form the Literature program of the Tools For After (TFA) project.
The collaboration between science and literature conceives new ideas, solutions, and strategies towards the ever-changing landscape of global sustainability. The COVID-19 pandemic is an indication that these are times in which the impossible becomes possible. The TFA Literature program connects science with the literary imagination.
To prepare for the unimaginable, the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne, together with CO.AS.IT. Italian Assistance Association, asked eight Italian writers to imagine a scenario that unites science and literature in the age of the Anthropocene. The resulting bilingual collection of short stories, Tales for After, published in Italy by Effequ, will be distributed in Australia by the Institute and by CO.AS.IT., and in Italy by Effequ.
