VAULT x M/FW Upcycle Runway

VAULT – the National Trust’s treasured, pre-loved designer fashion outlet – will be hosting its Upcycle Runway in Melbourne’s iconic Block Arcade as part of Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW).

Now in its 2nd year of its Upcycle Initiative, VAULT is collaborating with both up-and-coming and established Melbourne designers to ‘upcycle’ a pre-loved garment from their vintage designer collection into a new wearable piece. Each of the 10 designers will create one Avant-garde look and one street wear look to champion fashion sustainability and highlight the importance of non-fast fashion.

With sizing ranging from 8-20, VAULT will be selling all garments in store after the event, with all sales going towards supporting the National Trust in conserving and protecting Victoria’s natural, cultural and built heritage.

At the conclusion of the event, one creation will be selected as the ‘winning’ designer piece and will take prime residence in the National Trust’s celebrated Costume Collection.
