In January, the government proposed a new process to fast-track controversial developments like those threatening Lake Malbena, the South Coast, the Walls of Jerusalem and kunanyi, without any possibility of community appeals. Unaccountable assessment panels (DAPs) shouldn’t decide the future of such special places.

Proceeds of the ball will go to the Tasmanian National Parks Association (https://tnpa.org.au/)
working to protect our natural heritage.

Tread lightly on the land, even if you stomp on the dance floor.
