George Thorogood & the Destroyers Announce 'Good to Be Bad' AU Tour Dates

After their extensive North American dates, American musician George Thorogood and his band, The Destroyers, have announced that they will be bringing their 'Good to Be Bad' tour to Australia next year January. They will be treating audiences at Melbourne's The Forum and Sydney's Enmore Theatre to two gleeful nights of blues music.

Since 1975, George and his band have sold over 15 million albums, released 16 studio albums, built a classic catalogue of hits—including six gold and two platinum records—and played more than 8,000 ferocious live shows. They broke records with their '50 Dates/50 States' tour, rendered landmark performances at 'Live Aid' and on 'SNL', and became mainstays of radio, MTV and stages worldwide for more than two generations. Through it all, they've remained one of pop culture history's most consistent and passionate blues rock practitioners.

Also having a formidable solo career, George Thorogood released his first-ever solo album, Party Of One, in 2017. It landed in the Top 10 on Soundscan's 'Top Current Blues Albums' chart, marking his fastest-selling album in nearly two decades. The album features 14 cuts of traditional blues, classics and modern blues songs like Lee Hooker's 'One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer' and  Hank Williams' 'Pictures from Life's Other Side'.
