The Angels and Baby Animals Join Forces On 'They Who Rock 2019' Tour This Summer

Aussie rock luminaries The Angels and Baby Animals are again joining forces on their 'They Who Rock 2019' tour this November through to December. The massive co-headline tour marks the reunion on the road of the two bands since 1990 when Baby Animals went on to support The Angels on their 'Dogs Are Talking' tour.

November will see the bands playing Melbourne's 170 Russell, Hobart's Wrest Point Entertainment Centre, Doyalson-Wyee RSL, Lake Macquarie's Toronto Hotel, Adelaide's The Gov, Perth's Astor Theatre and Metropolis Fremantle. Meanwhile, December dates include performances at Brisbane's The Tivoli Theatre, the Gold Coast's CBD Live, Wollongong's Waves - Towradgi Beach Hotel and Sydney's Metro Theatre.

The Angels guitarist Rick Brewster has been a big Baby Animals fan since that initial 1990 tour. "They were one band that I watched every night, I was just so impressed," he says. Baby Animals guitarist Dave Leslie, on the other hand, states The Angels were his "childhood heroes." "That 1990 tour with The Angels was massive for us—it really was our big break."

Apart from the tour, the bands are also releasing brand new singles—with a twist. The Angels cover 'One Word' from Baby Animals' chart-topping self-titled debut, while Baby Animals deliver a blistering version of The Angels' 'Face To Face' classic, 'Marseilles'.
