Ambleside's distilling family of three has been passionate about sourcing local since day one, and it began with its Australian Copper Still, fondly named ‘Doug’ after Steve’s Great Uncle who used to soothe his ‘toothache’ with a G&T.
‘Doug’ was handcrafted in Ballarat specifically for Ambleside. As it anxiously anticipated the arrival of its still, it began building its tasting bar and planting botanical walk, that is now flourishing with a range of botanicals used in its distilling process.
