Bamaga Tavern

The Bamaga Tavern is the only licensed premises in the Northern Peninsula Area (NPA) of Cape York that has a general purpose liquor license and is able to offer both in house bar service and takeaways through the bottle shop.

The Bamaga Tavern has a front public bar with pool tables and regularly pool and darts competitions are held. The Bistro provide a more family orientated environment and good quality and reasonably priced meals and takeaway including pizzas. There is a pleasant beer garden with gazebos. Functions can be catered.

The Tavern regularly holds special functions such as discos and kareoke to complement major NPA events such as the Bamaga Show, ANSAC Day and the annual Ropeyarn Cup Rugby League competition.
