Cessnock Regional Art Gallery is a dedicated public gallery supported by Cessnock City Council and NSW Government through Arts NSW.
Since June 2009 it has presented a rich program of exhibitions, educational activities and special events contributing to the cultural life of Cessnock and surrounding districts.
Cessnock Regional Art Gallery hosts a program of twelve exhibitions annually, derived locally and nationally including gallery- generated exhibitions that showcase the work of our region’s artists, touring shows and national focus exhibitions. The program centres on the visual arts but also includes craft and design, with contemporary and historical themes and subjects. Each exhibition is accompanied variously by gallery talks, seminars and formal lectures for general visitors, students and arts professionals designed to stimulate eyes and minds.
