Magazine Gallery

Magazine Gallery is a little like Superman. As a night-time vigilante the gallery rails against elitism in art by purveying cheap beer and affordable, amazing art. In its daytime Clark Kent coat it acts as an office where freelance design, writing, film making, and other poor nerdy types exercise their MacBooks.

Set up by the co-publisher of Collect, Joshua Fanning, Magazine is a place where the gap between being an artist who shows in pubs and being an artist who shows in galleries gets a little smaller. Personally curated by Joshua, Magazine aims to give affordable opportunities for first time solo shows by artists who will one day sell more art than Bromley. The pieces are affordable so that art lovers, not just art dealers can buy them. The poor-nerdy types who occupy the office will happily escort you around the gallery any day of the week. And on opening nights the beer is $4. So is the wine. We repeat - $4.
