Oxford Street Design Store is a retail environment with a difference. It is a place for local designers, artists, creative and writers to sell their work with one condition – nothing can be sold for more than $20. It is a multi-purpose space that fosters collaboration, encourages learning and connects people.
Our shop space is divided into two areas, the front retail section and the back workshop environment which includes desk space for hire (at a merge $3/hr including wifi) and most recently a residency by the Rizzeria printing collective.
All of the staff in-store are volunteer from design and arts students to craft enthusiasts. Everyone is involved because we all have a unified passion for creativity and see the wider benefits it can bring to our local communities.
