South Australian Sea Rescue Squadron is a Volunteer Marine Rescue organisation (VMR) serving the Boating public in and around South Australia. Its operations are based in Adelaide with country flotillas in Wirrina, Copper Coast and Edithburgh. Sea Patrol's are carried out on Weekends and Public holidays unless weather conditions restrict them.
Marine radio base stations are scattered throughout the state and keep a listening watch on all of the marine radio emergency channels. It also operates Coast Radio Adelaide on VHF from its radio base in Adelaide from 0700 to 1900h daily.
