The Nostalgia Box

How it all started.

Hello! My name is Jessie. I’m the Guardian of The Nostalgia Box, but on my business card, I call myself Ninja Boss because I’m so good at multitasking (not really).

Like many 80s kids, I grew up with the video game classics. Twenty years later, I still remember the excitement I felt when I first played Super Mario Bros. on my new Nintendo Entertainment System. I remember fighting with my older brothers over the controllers, and being tricked to believe I was playing when they gave me an unconnected one to press on (very clever now that I think back). It was an exciting time for all of us but the responsibilities of adulthood meant we eventually left those things behind.

Why The Nostalgia Box?

My desire to recapture those wonderful childhood memories inspired the inception of The Nostalgia Box. After a long and hard battle with myself, finally I decided to quit a corporate job that I ‘kinda’ liked and embarked on this crazy roller coaster journey. The result of that is this little Museum here located in Northbridge, Perth.
