Jazz Music Institute’s (JMI) Turnaround Jazz Club is an initiative aimed towards achieving JMI’s mission towards community engagement as part of its Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance program.
Presenting high-level local, interstate and international jazz musicians to perform at the Turnaround Jazz Club provides an opportunity for its students to regularly engage in the industry. Performance opportunities are presented to the student cohort by way of jam sessions on the evenings of performances in front of the local jazz community and enables students to meet part of their course requirements through attending and participating in the gigs at the club.
