Riverside Theatres presents The American With the Acacia Quartet.

Since forming nine years ago, the Acacia Quartet have won great respect for their versatile and inventive programs. They are passionate about supporting Australian composers, working with young musicians, and sharing their love of music with audiences of all ages. Their performances feature regularly on radio stations around the world.

We are thrilled to have The Acacia Quartet performing for the the first time at Riverside.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – String Quartet No. 15 in D Minor, K421
Mozart’s String Quartet Op. No. 15 is the second of the Quartets dedicated to Haydn, and the only one of the set in a minor key.

Alice Chance – A Sundried Quartet
A Sundried Quartet was specially commissioned for the Acacia Quartet by one of Australia’s fast-emerging young composers, Alice Chance.

Antonin Dvořák – String Quartet No. 12, Op. 96 ‘American’
One of Dvořák’s best-known chamber music compositions is his String Quartet in F major composed in 1893.
