Beethoven’s Emperor (Maestro)

Conductor Johannes Fritzsch
Soloist Behzod Abduraimov, piano
Our Beethoven year ends with his mighty ‘Emperor’ Concerto, one of the most stirring, thrilling and moving musical experiences for piano and orchestra. It will be performed by Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov, described by The Independent as ‘the most perfectly accomplished pianist of his generation’. Another highlight of this concert will be the return of our Conductor Laureate and former Chief Conductor, Johannes Fritzsch, who will finish our 2020 Season with the soaring heights of Sibelius’ Symphony No.2.

Beethoven Piano Concerto No.5 in E flat (Emperor)
Sibelius Symphony No.2 in D
