"…no one in the World is doing this, like this…" - Nikolai Demidenko
Zoë Black and Joe Chindamo return to Tempo Rubato to perform a program of Russian delights, including Alfred Schnittke's virtuosic and evocative Sonata No. 1 for violin & piano and a selection of pieces by Dmitri Shostakovich.
The duo will also play the ethereal 'Fratres' by Estonia's Arvo Pärt, and some of Joe Chindamo's own imaginative and strikingly original compositions.
Tempo Rubato is a live classical music venue and bar in Brunswick. All profits from Tempo Rubato go to Piano Project, a charity providing free piano lessons for children who have recently arrived in Melbourne.
