A concert of new classical music written by, about, and for regional LGBTIQ+ Victorians. We're bringing the disco ball to the concert hall, and queering the divine acoustics of the Mechanics Institute.

Premiering a new work by Naima Fine about new and established Ballarat queer lives, inspired by conversations with Sage Akouri and Rick Youssef; selections from Ballarat composer Wally Gunn and Maria Zajkowski's epic oratorio based on the life, love, and misadventures of Captain Moonlite; and works by Joe Twist and Bendigo composer Louisa Trewartha.

4 new works for voices, strings, and percussion performed by The Consort of Melbourne and Victoria's most in demand instrumentalists. Homophonic! is composing your stories, singing your songs, and celebrating the long and proud history of composers being as gay as the day is long.

Homophonic! is supported by Creative Victoria.
