An afternoon of great entertainment presented by the brilliant Dr John Atwell on the Kingston City Wurlitzer, accompanying the renowned Maroondah Singers choir in a musical spectacular.
Dr John Atwell has enjoyed entertaining audiences on the theatre organ for more than 40 years, both in Australia and around the world – in the United Kingdom, USA, Canada and New Zealand. In that time has developed a reputation for providing programs, whether in concert or on recordings, which are carefully put together to provide a variety of enjoyable music, with a balance between the familiar and the not so well known.
Established in 1968, the Maroondah Singers is a mixed-voice community choir focused on enjoying the experience of choral music by both choir members and audiences. They have a wide-ranging repertoire, including songs from the shows, ballads old and new; classical and modern.
